Syed has over 20 years' experience of specialising in PPP and advising and leading development of PPP programs for the governments of UK (HM Treasury), Bangladesh (PPP Authority, Prime Minister's Office) and Uzbekistan (PPP Development Agency, Ministry of Finance) in addition to private sector PPP transaction advisory experience with PWC (UK). Since 2019, Syed has been the Advisor to the Ministry of Finance and PPPDA in Uzbekistan on the development and roll out of the PPP Programme, the establishment of the enabling framework and the identification, structuring and implementation of PPP projects in Uzbekistan. Prior to his current role, Mr Uddin was CEO of the PPP Authority, Prime Minister' Office, Bangladesh, over the period 2012-2019, where he set up the PPP programme, established the regulatory and institutional framework and rolled out a large pipeline of projects. The Bangladesh PPP Authority was recognized as the Government PPP Promoter of the year at the Asia edition of the PPP Awards in 2018.
