Lorna Ball

Lorna is a highly successful and influential leader on significant international infrastructure projects. She is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers with over 30 years' experience. She has experience in the identification, design, construction, operation and maintenance of significant highways and infrastructure projects in both private and public sectors. As Lenders Technical Advisor or Grantor Advisor, Lorna currently manages a portfolio of over 10 significant highway PPPs with individual concessions values of up to ¬£5bn, in the UK and internationally. Lorna is the Team Leader for the Arup PPP Advisory Team. This team is located across several UK and European offices. Int total her team portfolio comprises over 40 live PPP projects with a typical annual income of circa ¬£2m. These projects include Grantor Advisory, Lender's Technical Advisory, SPV Advisory, Independent Engineer Roles and O&M Advisory. The portfolio gives her a holistic view of client needs across the PPP market.  Most recently, Lorna has been leading projects in Uzbekistan. She is bringing the best practice and innovation associated with the name of Arup as well as her own experience and leadership, benefitting both the country and Arup.
