In 2025, Arup continued to stand out as a market leader in PPPs, closing 62 transactions globally with a total deal value of more than €171bn. But our impact can be measured in more than just numbers: we used our technical skills and wide-ranging experience to develop PPPs that enhance social mobility and demonstrate that we are a reliable partner for Grantors, Investors and Developers across the PPP market.

Our technical advisory team’s work in 2025 will help ensure safer, more secure supplies in water-stressed regions. It will help to develop affordable, sustainable, high-quality student accommodation in Greece and Kazakhstan. And it will help build the Lisbon-Porto high-speed railway, unlocking urban redevelopment, boosting employment and enhancing economic growth. Supporting clients to navigate an increasingly uncertain world, we apply knowledge internationally across sectors and projects. We’ve continued to adapt to change in Uzbekistan, keeping the Tashkent-Andijan Road project moving forward into Transaction Advisor stage. And our collaborative outlook, partnering with local subconsultants, enables us to move confidently into new markets, continually learning. This year we are proud and excited to start work on a project won in 2025: a study for the EBRD on where and how best to invest to rehabilitate Ukraine’s road network, supporting vital regeneration to communities and the wider economy after the devastating impacts of war.
