Equitix
1. The Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP) 2. Eelpower Energy They embody the qualities that distinguish Equitix as Sponsor/Developer of the Year: sign posting long-term partnership, innovation in PPP, and proven delivery capability on nationally significant projects at scale. HARP, the UK water sector’s first major Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) project, showcases how Equitix helps shape new market models rather than simply adopting them. Working closely with United Utilities, Equitix developed a transparent, financeable structure with balanced risk allocation and long-term regulatory certainty. The £3bn financing, supported by institutional lenders, commercial banks, equity and the National Wealth Fund (NWF), underscored strong market confidence. The project will provide clean drinking water to over 2.5 million people in Manchester for the next 150 years by upgrading the existing Victorian infrastructure; creating jobs, strengthening regional supply chains and setting a global benchmark for competitive procurement in regulated utilities. Eelpower Energy demonstrates Equitix’s ability to accelerate the UK’s transition to a flexible, low carbon system . Partnering with Aware Super (Australia’s leading superannuation Fund) and the NWF, Equitix established a scalable national battery storage platform capable of delivering more >1GW of new capacity. Across both projects, Equitix delivers purposeful, repeatable innovation; transparent structures, long-term partnerships and solutions that create enduring value and impact.
